November 1, 2024 (PORT SUDAN) – Sudan’s cabinet has advertised seven senior civil service jobs, breaking with a tradition of appointments by political patronage, state media reported on Friday. The vacancies, including the heads of the state shipping line, the internal audit bureau and the social security agency, follow the dismissal last week of the tax chief, a Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) member.
