Modern Ghana - ‘Resume concerted campaign against galamsey’ — GJA urges media
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has called on the media to resume its concerted campaign against illegal small-scale mining, known locally as 39;galamsey 39;. Addressing the commemoration of World Press Freedom Day in Koforidua on May 3, 2024, President of the GJA, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, urged journalists to join the fight against 39;galamsey 39; which he said threatens the country 39;s very existence.
